SALARY & ALLOWANCES - INCREASES

Agreement was reached between FAAA and Virgin Blue in early 2006 for economic adjustments to salaries and salary-based allowances whether an agreement on a new EBA had been finalised or was still under negotiations.  As you are aware the negotiations are ongoing (Update to follow), however, consistent with Virgin Blue’s undertaking salary and salary-based allowances increased by 3% on and from 1 September 2006.  The new rates payable before tax are as follows:

Backpay was processed Friday 19 January 2007.  The above new rates commenced following the backpay and were included on payslips for the pay period ending Saturday 27 January 2007.
